What is Episolve GI?

      Dr Gholmieh Testimony - Gholmieh

episolvegi_sliderA review of the literature done by Coron et al in 2007 [a] concluded that: “There are still important unmet needs in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease. Optimizing acid control is unlikely to improve the condition of the majority of patients with incomplete proton pump inhibitor response”.

We propose EpisolveGI as a dietary supplement for your diet to alleviate the GERD symptoms. EpisolveGI is an antacid made of calcium carbonate, that is naturally enhanced with Vitamin E using extra virgin olive oil.Extra virgin olive oil has been in the folklore of many Mediterranean cultures as a natural remedy for acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastritis, gastric ulcer and indigestion [b]. In fact, Several studies have connected the Mediterranean diet and consumption of olive oil with positive effects on human health including prolonging longevity and reducing risks leading to morbidity and mortality. The evidence is already strong enough to enable the legal use of health claims on foods containing olive oil [c].

In addition to its proven modulatory effects on the heart (cardiovascular system), colon cancer , breast cancer [d]; olive oil has growing scientific evidence as a natural remedy for gastrointestinal tract diseases. In the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, olive oil has been used as one of the natural remedies for acid reflux, GERD, gastritis and stomach ulcers. Recently, olive oil has been scientifically shown to reduce the population of the notorious bacteria Helicobacter pylori in the stomach. H. pylori is linked to gastritis (inflammation of the lining of the stomach) and development of gastric and duodenal ulcers as well gastric cancer. Romero and colleagues [e] found that the dialdehydic form of decarboxymethyl ligstroside (a component of olive oil) is not hydrolyzed in the stomach and therefore aids in inhibiting the growth of Helicobacter pylori bacteria. Castro et al [f] found that olive oil have a significant effect on eradication of Hpylori. Hence, it is shown scientifically that olive oil can act as natural cure for H. pylori infection. Castro et al advised to use the olive for the prevention of recurrence of H pylori.  Misuno et al. [g] found that Helicobacter pylori eradication improves pre-existing reflux esophagitis in patients with duodenal ulcer disease.

Since many Mediterranean cultures used Virgin olive as a natural remedy for the treatment of gastritis, gastric ulcer and GERD,  EpisolveGI went one step further and combined the calcium carbonate with extra virgin olive oil into a capsule to bring to you a unique product. Calcium carbonate is the main component of over the counter antacids such as Tums. Calcium carbonate is mined from natural lime stone.  EpisolveGI is an antacid made of calcium carbonate that it is naturally enhanced using extra virgin olive oil.  It can be used as preventive measure / supplement for night meals such as being taken prior to sleep to alleviate overnight acid reflux and morning acid mouth sensation. It can also be taken at the end of a large high protein known to worsen GERD.  EpisolveGI is a dietary supplement and is not meant to replace traditional treatment and medications such as proton pump inhibitors.

EpigsolveGI acts as a medium acting Esophageal Anti-Acid Protector to reduce acid load on the esophageal gastric junction and protect the mucosa by creating a barrier between the mucosa and the stomach acid. The calcium carbonate neutralizes the acid while the olive oil floats to the top of the stomach (GE junction) to reduce the burning of the mucosa by the acid.
